Walk for Webster: Saturday 12 July, 2025

In honour of International Soap Week, co-hosts of Conversation Street Michael and Gemma are planning a three mile walk from the old Coronation Street set to the new one in Media City. Along the way we're going to stop at a few filming locations from Coronation Street from over the years - you can find our proposed route here.

The goal of this walk is to raise vital funds for Dementia UK, supporting the portrayal of Debbie Webster’s journey with vascular dementia on Coronation Street. Additionally, Nigel Bates in EastEnders is battling early onset dementia. This cause is close to our hearts, and with your donation, we can continue raising awareness about dementia, as well as show the incredible power of soap fans to bring about real change.

How You Can Help:

Every pound raised through this event helps show your support and raise awareness - thank you! If you’d like to join us on the walk itself, we’d love to have you with us. We just ask that you either donate to our fundraising page or set up your own soap-themed fundraiser. Whether you’re walking, sponsoring, or both, we’d be thrilled to have you involved!

Event Details:

Date: 12 July 2025

Time: 11:00 AM (starting at Saint John's Gardens, Manchester)

End: Approx. 1:00 PM (at Media City Studios)

We’ll keep the fundraiser open after the event to collect as many donations as possible, so please share this with others who may want to contribute.

Together, we can make a real difference, whether you walk with us or donate from afar!
