Show the Power of Soap Fans
Soap operas have always been about community: neighbours helping neighbours, friends rallying in times of crisis, and everyday people making a difference. That’s why International Soap Week isn’t just about celebrating the drama on screen, it’s also about supporting the real-world causes that matter.

How You Can Help
Whether you’re part of a fan group, a workplace team, or flying solo, there are loads of ways to get involved in Soap Week fundraising:
Hold a bake sale – cobble cupcakes, anyone?
Host a soap quiz night at the pub, online, or in your living room
Organise a sponsored soap watchathon – how many episodes can you binge?
Do a sponsored walk (or run, or cycle) in character!
Donate directly to a soap-linked or fan-chosen charity
Come up with your own creative challenge, and tag us!

Let Us Know What You're Doing
We’d love to support and shout out your fundraising efforts across our socials. If you’re planning something, tag us on social media using #SoapWeek and #SoapWeekFundraiser, or email us at soapweektime@gmail.com.
We’ll also be highlighting some of the amazing efforts in our end-of-week round-up!
Why Fundraise During Soap Week?
Because soaps remind us that small actions can lead to big change. Whether it’s Dee Dee leading the charge for better birthing experiences for Black mothers, Belle’s family supporting her after her experience of spousal abuse, or Phil Mitchell finally accepting help for his depression, these stories teach us about care, resilience and doing the right thing. So let’s channel that same energy — and make Soap Week a force for good.
Our Fundraiser
For Soap Week, Conversation Street co-hosts Michael and Gemma are going to do a Corrie pilgrimage walk from the old set in Manchester, via a series of filming locations, to the new set in Media City. The walk will be raising money for Debbie Webster's story for Dementia UK and you can see the fundraising link here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/soapweekwalk
It's happening on Saturday 12 July, and you're all invited! Join us at 11am in St John's Gardens, and walk with us - approximately three miles - to Media City, where the set is. There are plenty of places to eat and a handy tram back to the city for transport!
